Learning Outcomes:   

The purpose of the course is to provide students with sufficient knowledge about:

  • technologies for electricity generation from renewable energy sources (such as solar and wind energy)
  • energy storage systems
  • power electronics and
  • the design, implementation, and control of renewable energy systems.

After the successful completion of the course students will be able to:

  • understand the basic principles of res energy production and storage systems’ operation
  • identify the appropriate ways to store energy from RES
  • design small-scale power systems based on RES
